Court Declares Arrest Of Masquerade Unlawful, Order Akwa Ibom Governor To Pay Damages

A court has declared the arrest masquerade, Mr. David Effiong in Akwa Ibom unlawful.

Consequently, the court orders the immediate and unconditional release of Effiong. 

Furthermore, the State government is ordered to pay Mr. Effiong damages for the violation of his human rights and freedom of worship.

Religious tolerance should be priority in our society.
