AWKA 2020 :AIG ZONE 2 INAUGURATES LOCAL ORGANIZATING COMMITTEE

The Assistant Inspector Generalof Police in charge of Zone 2, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu has today 22nd January 2020 inaugurated the Local Organising Committee (LOC)of 23 members drawn from across the Zone; for the 12th Biennial Police Games "AWKA 2020" which will be held in Awka, Anambra State.The 2 weeks event will tentatively commence on February 27; any changes will be announced promptly.
The AIG in his address urged the committee to be diligent and determined to come out in flying colours, as the success of the event primarily depends on them. He also promised he will do everything within his capacity to give the committee all psychological, moral, and logistical support. The chairman of the committee DCP Fayoade Adegoke while thanking the AIG for his trust in him assured the IGP and the AIG that the committee will not let the Force down.

It was allergedly reported that at the ikorodu general hospital,Lagos , a mother gave birth to a twins which were later discovered that they had jurndis. They were later taken back to the hospital for treatment and kept in the blue wave room, but unfortunately the were burnt and their lives lost.The new mother cried her heart out with their family for justice.
