Obatala is the father of all Orishas and the owner of all Ori(head) in the yoruba mythology. He was created by Olodunmare Yoruba name for GOD, for many purposes,but one of his  main purpose was to assist human beings here on earth,guiding us through life as most of us are tied to elements of nature.In Africa,the Yoruba says that Obatala is next to God,they explain that they know he is not God but  he is very close in power to the creator. Obatala  is known as third supreme being, Olodunmare being the first,and Orunmila the second .Obatala  stands with Orunmila as the right hand of God.It is said that God prepared the materials to make man and the task was given to Obatala to fashion them together, making human beings. Obatala,otherwise called Orisha-nla is of a very cool nature,he is not easily offended.White is his colour and all his devotees wears white.His Shrines are all decorated in white,from ceiling to the floor. Olokun is a spirit or deity,the Yoruba religion is a nature-based tradition that believes in one singular source called OLORUN or OLODUNMARE. The orishas are the various manifestations of the different aspects of OLORUN-OLODUNMARE across the natural world. Olokun is the first Orisha created by OLODUNMARE,when the earth was covered with water. Olokun is very old and ancient. It was allergedly reported that at the ikorodu general hospital,Lagos , a mother gave birth to a twins which were later discovered that they had jurndis. They were later taken back to the hospital for treatment and kept in the blue wave room, but unfortunately the were burnt and their lives lost.The new mother cried her heart out with their family for justice.
