THE MAN AFRICA'S LAWAL

Africas Lawal is a Nigerian Community development practitioner, Chartered Mediator and Conciliator with over 15 years of local and international work experience. He is also a certified Public Speaker, Management Consultant, and enterprise incubator who presently works as Network Coordinator of Partners for Peace (P4P), West Africa’s largest grassroots peacebuilding network with over 10,000 peace actors across the Niger Delta region. P4P is a project of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) established by Chevron Corporation and his office is responsible for identifying and facilitating a Network of organizations and individuals committed to promoting peace, reducing violence and conflict in the Niger Delta.
Lawal sits on the boards of Initiatives for Sustainable Peace and Entrepreneurship Development (ISPED) and Sustainable Initiative for Nurturing Growth (SING). He is an Ex-Officio Member of the International Society for Comparative Education, Science and Technology of Nigeria and he had previously worked in an exchange program with the Polish Ministry of Education in conjunction with AIESEC to promote African culture teaching in over 20 High Schools in Poland on Entrepreneurship and Cultural Education. As a student leader, he was the coordinator of Amnesty International. He is presently a member of the knowledge Network of the United nation Office of the Special Adviser on Africa(UN-OSAA).
Africas is the ‘Asuku 1’ of Oloibiri Kingdom of the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in Bayelsa State, a traditional title in Nigeria. He is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt and alumnus of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center, Accra, Ghana.
